About Boss Rods & Don Busha

I have been in Texas almost 60 years and I call it home. I have fished the ocean, rivers and bay's extensively and have learned the importance of fishing with the right equipment. I've been a professional fishing guide, fished in tournaments, been a boat captain and owned and operated my own boat business.

When I retired I decided I would start building fishing rods to keep me busy. I didn't realize they would become popular in the Matagorda Bay fishing venue. I use quality materials and take my time making each rod myself. I've had positive feedback from the fishing guides using my rods and I pride myself on making a quality fishing rod at an incredible price.
